PCB Announces Match Officials for HBL PSL 11 Qualifier and Eliminators

Final officials for May 3 to be confirmed later

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday unveiled the match officials for the HBL Pakistan Super League (HBL PSL) 11 Qualifier and upcoming Eliminators, scheduled to take place from April 28 to May 1.

For the Qualifier between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United at the National Bank Stadium, Sir Richard Richardson, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will lead the Playing Control Team. Richardson, who made his PSL debut earlier this season, is set to conclude his campaign after officiating in 10 matches.

New Zealand’s Christopher Gaffaney and England’s Alexander Wharf, both from the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will serve as on-field umpires for the Qualifier. Faisal Khan Aafreedi has been appointed as the third umpire, while Zulfiqar Jan will take on fourth umpire duties.

Officials for eliminators

Former Sri Lanka international Roshan Mahanama will head the Playing Control Team for both Eliminator matches. With experience across all PSL seasons, his tally as match referee now stands at 127 matches.

For Eliminator 1 between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Multan Sultans in Lahore, Shahid Saikat and Asif Yaqoob will officiate as on-field umpires. Rashid Riaz will serve as the third umpire, while Nasir Hussain will act as the fourth umpire.

In Eliminator 2, Ahsan Raza and Shahid Saikat will take charge as on-field umpires, with Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz assigned third and fourth umpire roles, respectively.

The PCB added that officials for the HBL PSL 11 final on May 3 will be announced later.
