ISLAMABAD: Egypt and the United Kingdom have appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy in the region.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper expressed their remarks during telephonic conversations with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday, a Foreign Office statement said.
“The Egyptian FM appreciated DPM/FM’s efforts and Pakistan’s continued role in advancing dialogue and diplomatic engagement,” the statement said.
He also apprised Ishaq Dar of his outreach with various regional and international counterparts in this regard.
Both sides underscored the importance of continued and sustained engagement in promoting peace and stability across the region and beyond.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saint Petersburg, Iran’s government said in a statement, as regional diplomatic efforts raise optimism for a durable agreement between Tehran and Washington.
