ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy has conducted a successful test of a newly developed air-launched anti-ship cruise missile, the military said on Tuesday, in what it described as a boost to the country’s maritime strike capability.
According to a statement from the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Air-Launched Cruise Missile executed its mission with exceptional precision, validating Pakistan Navy’s combat capability to detect, target, and decisively neutralize enemy sea-based threats at extended ranges.

The indigenously developed Anti-Ship Weapon System is part of Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen its ability to detect, track, and engage hostile naval targets, particularly in high-threat maritime environments.
Officials said the test highlights improvements in the country’s conventional defence capabilities and enhances the armed forces’ coordinated strike capacity across multiple domains.
The Pakistan Navy said it remains committed to safeguarding national maritime interests and ensuring security in its territorial waters.
