RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s air defense forces intercepted and destroyed four ballistic missiles targeting the Riyadh region, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday, citing an official statement from Ministry of Defense spokesperson Major General Turki Al-Malki.
The missiles, launched toward the capital region, were detected early by the Kingdom’s surveillance and defense infrastructure. In a rapid and coordinated response, air defense units engaged the incoming projectiles, neutralizing them before they could reach their intended targets.
Major General Al-Malki emphasized that the operation reflects the high level of preparedness and efficiency of Saudi Arabia’s defense forces. He confirmed that all four missiles were intercepted mid-air, preventing any casualties or damage on the ground.
