Saudi Foreign Minister Arrives in Islamabad for Key Talks on Middle East Conflict

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral engagement and discussing evolving regional dynamics.

The high-level visit comes at the invitation of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

Upon arrival, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud was received by Additional Secretary for the Middle East, Syed Ahmad Maroof, reflecting the importance Islamabad attaches to its longstanding partnership with Riyadh.

During his stay, the Saudi foreign minister is expected to hold comprehensive consultations with Pakistani leadership, focusing on key regional developments and issues of mutual concern.

Upon arrival at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received the Saudi Foreign Minister.

The two sides will engage in comprehensive consultations on the evolving regional situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

The visit reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to sustained dialogue, close coordination and enhanced cooperation in addressing evolving regional developments, the ministry added.

Diplomatic sources indicate that discussions will also explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in political, economic, and security domains.
