RIYADH: Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji held talks with US Chargé d’Affaires Alison Dilworth on regional developments.
During the meeting, they also reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed the latest developments in the region and their implications on international peace and security, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
Earlier Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan affirmed that GCC countries would spare no effort to defend their territories and mobilise all available capabilities to preserve regional stability.
“GCC countries will continue exerting all efforts to defend their territories and mobilise all available capabilities to support regional security and preserve stability,” they said.
The two leaders made the remarks during a phone conversation on Monday, in which they condemned continued Iranian attacks against Gulf States as a dangerous escalation threatening regional security, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Asian ambassadors have expressed their strong condemnation of Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia, Gulf States affirming solidarity with the Kingdom’s efforts to preserve regional security and stability.
