DUBAI: Pakistani cricketers witnessed a mixed bag of movements in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, with some players making gains while others slipped, as India’s Varun Chakaravarthy was dethroned from the top spot in the bowling charts.
Farhan slips to third in batters’ list
In the T20I batters’ rankings, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan experienced a minor setback, dropping one place to secure the third position.
He now trails behind India’s Ishan Kishan, who surged two spots to claim the second position.
The top spot continues to be held firmly by India’s in-form opener Abhishek Sharma.
Other Pakistani batters showed varied performances, with Saim Ayub slipping one place to 36th position.
Former captain Babar Azam remained steady at 37th spot, while current T20I captain Salman Ali Agha provided some positive news by climbing one position to 40th with 547 rating points.
Opening batter Fakhar Zaman also enjoyed a slight uptick, moving up one place to 70th in the rankings.

Rashid Khan reclaims top bowler spot
The bowling rankings witnessed a significant change at the summit as Afghanistan’s spin maestro Rashid Khan dethroned India’s Varun Chakaravarthy to become the world’s number one T20I bowler.
Chakaravarthy’s reign at the top proved short-lived as Rashid’s consistent performances propelled him back to the pinnacle.

Pakistan’s mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed provided a bright spot for the green shirts, maintaining his impressive third position in the bowlers’ rankings.
Left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz held firm at 12th place, while Salman Mirza caught the selectors’ attention with a commendable rise of two spots to claim 19th position.
Pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi remained stationary at 35th place, while other Pakistani bowlers maintained their positions with minimal fluctuations.
Usman Tariq and Sufiyan Muqeem held onto their 55th and 60th spots, respectively.
Saim Ayub occupies 67th position, followed by Shadab Khan at 72nd and Haris Rauf at 84th.
All-rounders’ rankings remain static
The ICC T20I all-rounders’ rankings witnessed no major upheavals, with Zimbabwe’s charismatic captain Sikandar Raza continuing to lead the pack.
India’s Hardik Pandya follows closely in second place, while Pakistan’s young talent Saim Ayub retains his impressive third position.
Among other Pakistani all-rounders, Mohammad Nawaz held onto eighth place, Shadab Khan remained at 22nd, while Faheem Ashraf and Salman Ali Agha kept their respective 55th and 56th positions. Shaheen Afridi stayed put at 65th in the all-rounders’ rankings.
