Farhan Slips in ICC T20I Rankings as Fakhar and Salman Mirza Gain Places

DUBAI: Pakistan players recorded mixed fortunes in the latest ICC T20I rankings, with some gaining positions while others slipped in the standings. Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has replaced India’s Varun Chakaravarthy as the top-ranked bowler in the format.

In the batting rankings, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan dropped one spot to third place, while India’s Ishan Kishan climbed two positions to move into second. Another Indian batter, Abhishek Sharma, retained the number one ranking.

Among other Pakistani batters, Saim Ayub fell one place to 36th, while former captain Babar Azam held his 37th position. T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha moved up one spot to 40th with 547 rating points, and opening batter Fakhar Zaman also improved his ranking, rising to 70th.

Number one T20I bowler

In the bowling rankings, Abrar Ahmed continued to hold third place. The top spot, however, changed hands as Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan overtook India’s Varun Chakaravarthy to become the number one T20I bowler.

Spinner Mohammad Nawaz remained at 12th position, while Salman Mirza made notable progress, climbing two places to reach 19th. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi stayed at 35th.

Several other Pakistani bowlers maintained their positions, with Usman Tariq and Sufiyan Muqeem placed at 55th and 60th respectively. Saim Ayub ranked 67th among bowlers, followed by Shadab Khan at 72nd and Haris Rauf at 84th.

In the ICC T20I all-rounders’ rankings, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza continued to lead the list, with India’s Hardik Pandya in second place and Pakistan’s Saim Ayub holding third.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Nawaz remained eighth, Shadab Khan stayed 22nd, while Faheem Ashraf and Salman Ali Agha retained their 55th and 56th positions. Shaheen Afridi continued to be placed 65th among all-rounders.
