RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from US President Donald Trump on Saturday following recent missile attacks targeting the Kingdom.
During the call, Trump condemned the missile strikes and said the United States stands with Saudi Arabia. He expressed support for the Kingdom’s actions in responding to the attacks, which were intercepted by Saudi air defence systems.

The US president also reiterated Washington’s backing of measures taken by Saudi authorities in response to what he described as Iranian violations affecting regional security and stability.
The conversation comes amid heightened regional tensions after joint US-Israel strikes on Iran, followed by Iranian retaliation against Israel and US military sites in the Gulf.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, on Saturday affirmed that the Kingdom will take all necessary measures to defend its territory.
He also reiterated full support for regional countries in preserving their sovereignty, security, and stability, the Saudi Press Agency reported, following Iranian missile attacks targeting the Gulf countries.
The Saudi Crown Prince received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
