RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Cristiano Ronaldo delivered another reminder of his enduring class on Sunday, scoring a stunning overhead bicycle kick to seal Al Nassr’s 4–1 victory over Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League.

The 40-year-old Portugal captain met a late cross with an acrobatic volley that flew past the goalkeeper, drawing comparisons to his iconic 2018 bicycle-kick goal for Real Madrid against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League. The strike — coming in the 96th minute — was celebrated widely on social media.

“Best caption wins!” Ronaldo wrote on X, sharing footage of the goal.

The spectacular finish marked the 954th goal of his career and capped a dominant win for Al Nassr in Riyadh, keeping the club four points clear at the top of the league after nine matches. Former Premier League players Joao Felix and Sadio Mané also found the net for the Saudi side.

Ronaldo had only just returned from international duty, where he was sent off in Portugal’s game against Ireland but still celebrated the team’s qualification for the upcoming World Cup. If selected, it would mark his record sixth appearance on football’s biggest stage.

Despite his prolific scoring record in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has yet to win a title since joining Al Nassr nearly three years ago.
