ISLAMABAD: Gold became dearer in Pakistan on Wednesday as rates tracked a strong upward movement in the global bullion market, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of gold per tola increased by Rs 7,900 to reach Rs 431,562, reversing the loss of the previous. The 10-gram rate also rose by Rs 6,773, settling at Rs 369,994.
APGJSA figures showed the international market price climbing to $4,092 per ounce — including a premium of $20 — marking a gain of $79 during the day.
Silver also became costlier in the domestic market, with its per-tola price increasing by Rs 177 to Rs 5,422.
