LAHORE, Pakistan: Pakistan on Tuesday dispatched its 25th consignment of humanitarian aid to help the people of war-hit Gaza.

The plan carrying 100 tons of relief goods took off from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport under the supervision of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation.

An NDMA spokesperson said the latest shipment includes tents, tarpaulins, water containers, and other essential relief items. With this dispatch, Pakistan has now sent 2,427 tons of aid to Gaza across 25 consignments.

Minister for Public Affairs Unit (PAU) Rana Mubashir Iqbal attended the departure ceremony as the chief guest, joined by government representatives, senior NDMA officials, leaders of the Al-Khidmat Foundation, and members of other welfare organisations.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had instructed that Pakistan continue its unwavering support and solidarity with the people of Gaza. He said Pakistan has always stood firmly with the Palestinians, and the ongoing assistance reflects the nation’s shared values, Islamic brotherhood and moral duty.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to sustaining the flow of relief supplies and prayed for lasting peace, the safety of the Palestinian people and stability in the region.

Rana Mubashir Iqbal emphasised that the oppressed Muslims of Gaza and Palestine are Pakistan’s brothers and that support for them would persist.

Condemning the ongoing killing of innocent civilians—especially children—he said Israel has become a threat to global peace and urged the United Nations to take strong notice of its continued aggression.

He stressed the need for unity among Muslim countries in support of Palestine and stated that Israel’s bombardment of civilian areas is a blatant violation of humanitarian principles.

The minister appreciated the timely efforts of NDMA, Al-Khidmat Foundation and other partner organisations for ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of relief goods to Gaza and thanked them for their dedicated service.
