RIYADH: The Makkah Health Cluster is taking part in the Global Health Exhibition, running from October 27 to 30 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center, under the theme “Invest in Health.”

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the event brings together health innovations and experts from over 130 countries.

The cluster is highlighting its iSelfie project, which leverages artificial intelligence and photoplethysmography (PPG) to accelerate patient assessments by 70 percent, reducing the time per patient in emergency departments from seven minutes to just two.

The smart vital signs initiative will be rolled out across 14 hospitals and 15 primary healthcare centers, saving SR120,000 ($32,000) annually by replacing the need for Dynamap devices.

It is also expected to reduce nursing costs by SR15.3 million and optimize the workforce by 50 percent through AI automation while maintaining quality care, the SPA added.

These solutions advance healthcare digitalization in line with Vision 2030, improving access, efficiency, and self-care through smart technology.

The exhibition provides a platform for healthcare professionals, offering over 100 dialogue sessions and workshops focused on the future of healthcare, the role of artificial intelligence, and investment opportunities in the Kingdom’s health sector.
