ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s rising cricket talent Ali Raza is among nine players from the country selected to take part in the upcoming ninth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League, set to be held from 18 to 30 November.
The draft, conducted on Saturday, saw four franchise teams choose Pakistani players for the competition.
Ali Raza and Mir Hamza are both poised to make their international franchise debuts. The duo have previously featured in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), with Ali representing Peshawar Zalmi in the 10th edition, where he claimed 12 wickets in nine matches.
Left-arm seamer Hamza, meanwhile, has participated in six PSL seasons, turning out for Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, and taking 33 wickets in 29 appearances.
Second-highest wicket-taker
Another left-arm pacer, Akif Javed, is preparing for his second international franchise outing. He has previously competed in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders, in addition to playing four PSL seasons for Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, and Multan Sultans.
Spinner Usman Tariq is also gearing up for his second international franchise appearance following an impressive campaign in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025, where he represented the champion side Trinbago Knight Riders. Tariq took 20 wickets in 10 matches, finishing as the tournament’s second-highest wicket-taker.
Meanwhile, Zaman Khan, who will feature for Ajman Titans alongside Haider Ali, Asif Ali, and Akif Javed, brings vast franchise experience, having played in Major League Cricket (MLC), the Big Bash League (BBL), the Lanka Premier League (LPL), and The Hundred.
