LOS ANGELES: American Reality television star Kim Kardashian has revealed she’s now living under tight security after receiving an assassination threat from an anonymous individual reportedly “close” to her.
According to Radar Online, the SKIMS founder received a call from her private investigators warning her that her life was in danger. The news has left Kim deeply shaken and prompted immediate action to protect herself and her four children, whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.
“Kim isn’t taking any chances,” an insider told the outlet. “She’s now surrounded by a full security team around the clock.”
The source detailed the extent of the security measures, noting that guards are now stationed at her home, accompany her in her vehicles, and are present near her children’s school. “She’s still deeply rattled. She truly believes the threat was serious,” the insider added.
Another source described the experience as one of the most personal and frightening Kim has ever faced.
“She’s dealt with scary situations before, but this felt different—it came from someone close,” the source explained. “It’s made her reevaluate who she can trust.”
In response to the threat, Kim has reportedly increased security at all of her properties, including her Los Angeles home and the offices of her SKIMS and SKKN brands.
“She’s essentially living like she’s under Secret Service protection now,” said the insider. “Her team is vetting everyone—visitors, staff, even package deliveries. She’s not willing to risk anything, especially after what she’s already been through.”
Kim’s fears are not unfounded. In 2016, she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, a traumatic incident that left a lasting impact. Earlier this year, eight individuals were convicted in connection with that robbery, including charges related to the high-profile heist.
