RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman on Thursday reaffirmed the close ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, describing the two countries as a united front prepared to stand together against any threat or aggression.
On the social media platform X, Prince Khalid bin Salman stated: “KSA and Pakistan. One front against any aggressor. Always and forever.”

The announcement comes after the signing of a “Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement” on Wednesday between Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The agreement clearly states that “any aggression against either country will be considered an act of aggression against both.”
A joint statement from the Prime Minister’s Office underscored the importance of the pact, highlighting its role in strengthening bilateral security and defense cooperation.
“This agreement, which reflects the shared commitment of both nations to enhance their security and to achieve security and peace in the region and the world, aims to develop aspects of defense cooperation between the two countries and strengthen joint deterrence against any aggression. The agreement states that any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both,” a joint statement shared by the PM Office Media Wing said.
The two leaders reviewed the longstanding and strategic partnership between their countries, along with a range of issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed heartfelt gratitude to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to him and his delegation.
As a symbolic gesture of friendship, the Prime Minister’s aircraft was escorted by Royal Saudi Air Force F-15 fighter jets upon entering Saudi airspace.
