South Africa To Tour Pakistan For Multi-Format Series In October–November 2025

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will host South Africa later this year for two Tests, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), marking another major step in the return of regular international cricket to the country.

According to the proposed schedule, South Africa will play the two Test matches from October 12–16 and October 20–24.

The limited-overs matches will follow, with ODIs set for October 28, 30 and November 2, while the T20Is are scheduled for November 5, 8, and 9.

While the venues have not yet been finalised, stadiums in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Lahore are being considered, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated in a press release on Thursday.

This series is especially important because it will mark South Africa’s first Test matches of the new World Test Championship cycle, where they are the defending champions.

The Proteas have a strong record against Pakistan in Tests, winning 17 out of 30 matches. Pakistan has won only six, with seven draws.

In ODIs, South Africa also leads the head-to-head with 52 wins out of 87 matches, while Pakistan has 34 victories.

However, the T20I contests have been more evenly matched, with both teams winning 12 games each.
