ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s white-ball head coach, Mike Hesson, took to the social media platform ‘X’ to share a heartfelt message for those affected by the devastating floods in Pakistan.
Pakistan secured back-to-back victories in the UAE T20I triangular series. The Green Shirts began their campaign against Afghanistan with a convincing 39-run win, thanks to a clinical all-round display.
These back-to-back wins are dedicated to everyone affected by the floods in Pakistan. Some people are really struggling and we are praying for safety and strength for all those affected back in Pakistan. 🇵🇰❤️

They followed this up with a 31-run triumph over the hosts, UAE, in a dominant performance largely driven by strong batting.
Saim Ayub and Hassan Nawaz led the charge for Pakistan with rapid half-centuries, propelling their side to an imposing total of 207 runs.
Solidarity with flood victims
In response, the UAE fell short despite a late onslaught from Asia Khan, who struck a blistering 77 off just 35 deliveries.
Hasan Ali took three wickets for Pakistan, while Mohammad Nawaz bowled a tight four-over spell, picking up two wickets.
Following the victories, Mike Hesson expressed his solidarity with the flood victims in Pakistan.
“These back-to-back wins are dedicated to everyone affected by the floods in Pakistan. Some people are really struggling, and we are praying for safety and strength for all those affected back in Pakistan,” he wrote.
For those unaware, Pakistan are set to face Afghanistan on Tuesday, 2nd September, before taking on the UAE two days later.
It is worth noting that the triangular series acts as a preparatory platform for teams to get accustomed to the conditions ahead of the eight-team ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the UAE from 9th to 28th September.
