ISLAMABAD: The United Kingdom has opened applications for the 2025 Chevening Scholarships, inviting Pakistani students to apply for fully funded postgraduate study opportunities in the UK.

The scholarship offers one-year master’s degree programmes at top universities across the UK. It is open to mid-career professionals with a minimum of two years of post-graduation work experience.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, airfare, visa expenses, and provides a monthly stipend to cover living costs.

In addition to academic advancement, scholars will gain valuable professional development opportunities, build global networks, and engage in cultural exchange during their time in the UK.

According to the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott the programme serves as a launchpad for Pakistan’s exceptional future leaders.

She encouraged those with leadership potential and a drive to make a difference to apply.

Applications for the Chevening Scholarship will be open from August 5 to October 7, 2025. Eligible candidates must provide real-life examples demonstrating their leadership, influence, and networking abilities.

Established in 1983, the Chevening programme boasts a global network of over 60,000 alumni across 160 countries, including more than 2,000 scholars from Pakistan who have gone on to assume leadership roles in diverse sectors.

Details and application instructions are available on the official Chevening website.

Pakistan and the UK have a long and multifaceted relationship, with the latter hosting a large Pakistani diaspora community. Pakistan is also a member of the Commonwealth, a voluntary association of 56 countries, out of which the vast majority are former British territories.
