ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline, Flyadeal, is set to launch flights to four more destinations in Pakistan by the end of August.

The Jeddah-based airline will commence weekly services from Riyadh to Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot, as well as Dammam to Karachi.

The flights will start between August 24 and 26, with each route operating two to three times per week using Airbus A320 aircraft, according to aviationweek.com.

The Riyadh–Sialkot route is especially significant, marking the return of direct service between the two countries. With this launch, Flyadeal becomes the sole airline operating on this route.

This expansion highlights Pakistan’s growing importance as a rapidly expanding aviation market for Saudi carriers.

In 2024, an estimated 5.9 million passengers travelled between the two countries, with seat capacity climbing annually.

Flyadeal, a subsidiary of Saudia, began scheduled international operations in 2021. It now operates 28 international routes to destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of Europe and Central Asia.

Flyadeal entered the Pakistani market in February 2025 with inaugural routes to Karachi from Jeddah and Riyadh. These new paths will effectively double its service level in Pakistan.

The airline currently operates 41 Airbus A320-family aircraft and three A330s. The airline has ambitious plans to expand its fleet to 98 aircraft over the next four and a half years.

This growth will include the addition of A321neo and A330neo models, supporting Flyadeal’s continued international expansion.
