Indian media reported that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the opposition raised the issue of “security lapse” in the incident.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in the garb of Pahalgam incident, Indian forces have launched a massive crackdown operation across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, marked by over 1,500 arrests of innocent Kashmiris during the ongoing house raids.
House raids in IIOJK
Indian army troops and paramilitary personnel made the arrests during house raids in various areas of Srinagar, Islamabad, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Ganderbal and Budgam districts of the IIOJK, according to Kashmir Media Service.
According to Pakistan’s state-run television, PTV News, Pakistan Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif firmly stated on Thursday that terrorist attacks on Indian soil were always self-sponsored by India in order to serve its own ulterior motives.
Speaking at a news conference alongside Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Asif condemned India’s actions in the region.
The minister pointed to the Pulwama attack as an example, arguing that it led India to revoke Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, further consolidating its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He also criticised India’s military presence in the region, with nearly one million armed troops stationed in IIOJK, aiming to suppress the voices of the Kashmiri people.
