JEDDAH: The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof on Friday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
During the call, the two sides reviewed ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands and discussed ways to enhance them.
They also exchanged views on recent regional and global developments, as well as ongoing efforts to achieve security and stability.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dick Schoof in a statement on X said the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia have strong and long-standing ties. “I spoke to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud about these ties. There are many opportunities to further deepen the relationship between our countries, amongst others in areas like trade and sustainability,” he said.
“I also expressed my appreciation for the role Saudi Arabia has been playing in facilitating talks on a lasting peace in Ukraine, and we both expressed our grave concern about the situation in the Gaza Strip. In that connection, I thanked the Crown Prince for his ongoing efforts to foster stability in the Middle East,” he concluded.
