KARACHI: Pakistan Navy (PN) and Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) successfully concluded the bilateral maritime exercise Naseem Al Bahr-XV with a display of live weapon firing in the North Arabian Sea.

The event was graced by the Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces as the Chief Guest, while Pakistan’s Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, was also present on the occasion, Pakistan military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release on Saturday.

During the exercise, Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Zulfiqar, along with PNS Yarmook and Royal Saudi Naval Forces ships HMS Jazzan and HMS Hail, successfully fired a variety of Surface-to-Surface and Surface-to-Air missiles, effectively engaging their respective targets and demonstrating their combat readiness and warfighting capabilities.

Exercise Naseem Al Bahr-XV featured advanced maritime operations, with participating assets from both navies executing a diverse range of complex scenarios, including joint manoeuvres, Anti-Surface Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare, and integrated Maritime Security Operations.

The exercise provided an opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation, enhance interoperability, and reaffirm a shared commitment to maritime security. While the recently concluded Aman 25 demonstrated the Pakistan Navy’s soft power, the live weapon firing during Naseem Al Bahr-XV showcased its combat firepower.

Exercise Naseem Al Bahr is a biennial operational exercise that reinforces the strategic partnership between the Pakistan Navy and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, reflecting their unwavering resolve to safeguard mutual maritime interests.
