World Should Help Pakistan to Go After Backers of Terrorism: Minister

NEW YORK: The world should assist Pakistan combating and go after those elements who supported, backed, facilitated and financed terrorism in the country, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Thursday.

He said in a press briefing, following the minister hosted the Ministerial Conference of G-77 Plus China in New York. He told the media of a dossier released by Pakistan containing evidence of India’s involvement in a terror attack in Johar Town, Lahore in 2021.

The minister added that Islamabad had sought the United Nations (UN) to list 4 individuals linked with the terror attack in Pakistan, which was aimed at hitting Pakistan’s economic activities with China under One Belt and One Road Initiative (BRI).

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that an ex-Indian National Security Advisor was on record to have confessed the Indian backing and supporting of terrorism in Pakistan.

Responding to a question, Pakistan’s foreign minister said that “Osama is dead but the butcher of Gujarat and the prime minister of India is alive. The Minister said that the RSS did not accept in Gandhi’s ideology but instead treated his (Gandhi) killer as a hero.

Coming to Afghanistan, the minister asked the international community to engage with the government in Afghanistan and also emphasized the steps to address the challenging economic situation of Afghanistan deteriorated by the frozen assets. The minister also asked the government in Afghanistan to fulfill its commitment with the world for the rights of women and girls’ education.
