SRINAGAR: The people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have made their position clear in the recent Assembly polls, rejecting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its policies aimed at suppressing the Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination as pledged by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

According to Kashmir Media Service on the outcome of election results, Kashmiri Muslims, who consider any polls held under Indian occupation as farcical, utilized the opportunity to stop the installation of a Hindutva party chief minister, thereby safeguarding their unique identity against Narendra Modi-led India’s oppressive regime.

The election results deliver a clear message: the people of Occupied Kashmir firmly reject the BJP and the illegal acts taken on August 5, 2019. The BJP’s claims of winning the hearts of the people of Kashmir have been exposed as a glaring disconnect from the stark reality on the ground. The party’s assertions of bringing progress, and development to Occupied Kashmir have crumbled in the face of a crushing electoral defeat.

Another key takeaway from the election is that Kashmiri Muslims are resolute in securing and protecting their distinct identity and rich Muslim heritage. United in the face of oppression, the people of Occupied Kashmir remain steadfast in their resolve to resist Modi’s attempts to strip away their culture and identity.
