SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged the global community to press New Delhi to resolve the Kashmir dispute peacefully in line with relevant UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, denounced the suspension of Kashmiri government employees and the attachment of properties of pro-freedom activists.

He said that the Kashmiri people dismissed India’s illegal occupation, stressing that New Delhi’s brutal acts would not weaken their resolve for freedom from Indian bondage.

The APHC called upon international organizations, including the UN and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, to intervene for the peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

Meanwhile, protests against rising Islamophobia in India continued in different parts of the occupied territory including Srinagar, with participation from representatives of diverse communities, including Sikhs.

The occupation authorities have also placed restrictions across the occupied territory before vote counting scheduled to be held tomorrow.

A multi-tier security cover has been thrown with Central Armed Police Force troops in the first layer, Indian Police in the second layer, and Indian army troops in the third layer.
