Pakistan Navy Command & Staff Conference Reviews Regional Maritime Situation

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy Command and Staff Conference was held at the Naval Headquarters on Tuesday, reported state-run news agency APP.

The conference, chaired by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, reviewed the maritime situation in the North Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden and discussed measures to ensure the safety and security of national sea trade passing through these regions.

During the meeting, discussions covered a range of topics including the geo-strategic environment, national security, operational preparedness, training, and the welfare of personnel.

The Chief of the Naval Staff also received a comprehensive briefing on key ongoing and upcoming developmental projects of the Pakistan Navy, according to a Pakistan Navy news release.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf expressed confidence in the Navy’s combat readiness and its substantial role in maritime security. He emphasized the need to enhance maritime security and maintain high levels of combat readiness to effectively counter any potential threats to Pakistan.

The Admiral also highlighted the importance of acquiring advanced capabilities and leveraging indigenous resources to address contemporary maritime challenges.

The Command & Staff Conference, the highest decision-making body within the Pakistan Navy, involves the Chief of the Naval Staff, Principal Staff Officers, and Field Commanders in reviewing and shaping the Navy’s policies and plans.
