ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met) has forecast cloudy weather in the upper regions of the country, with rain and snow over the mountains at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
Foggy conditions
Foggy conditions will likely persist over Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, plain areas of Punjab, and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
As per the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of the country.
The air quality in the capital of Punjab, i.e., Lahore, is 419 US AQI; in Bahawalpur, it is 267, 180 in Muridke, 201 in Rawalpindi, and 41 in Sialkot. In Sindh, the air quality in Karachi is 195 US AQI, while Islamabad’s air quality stands at 158. In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, air quality is 105 in Abbottabad and 472 in Peshawar. “Good” AQI is 0 – 50.

Recorded temperatures
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met), a maximum of 10 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 11°C in Lahore, 19°C in Karachi, 10°C in Peshawar, 6°C in Quetta, and 4°C in Gilgit.
Minimum recorded temperatures
Today’s Recorded Lowest Minimum Temperatures (°C): Leh -10, Skardu -07, Gupis -04, Gilgit, and Kalam -03.
