ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked the government to ensure all possible help and support for Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek. While expressing deep concerns over the violent incidents against Pakistani students in Bishkek, the former foreign minister said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should take solid steps to ensure the safety and protection of Pakistani students.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that the Pakistani Embassy must maintain contact with the students and provide accurate and authentic information to their families. He said that Pakistani youth in Kyrgyzstan are ambassadors of country and they should exhibit patience and responsible behavior in challenging times.
Bilawal Bhutto added that Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan are two brotherly Islamic nations, and Kyrgyzstan is a second home for Pakistani people. He stated that the bilateral ties between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, based on mutual respect and wide-ranging cooperation, have been tested in all seasons.
He further said that they trust that the Government of Kyrgyzstan will continue to take care of Pakistani people on its soil as it does its own people.
