BISHKEK: Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim on Thursday got acquainted with the ethnocultural programme in Ala Archa State Nature Park, arranged as part of the Malaysian Prime Minister’s official trip to Kyrgyzstan.
Upon arrival, the leaders of the two nations were met by akyns-improvisers, Alptar warriors and girls in national costumes.
After walking along the alley of artisans, both leaders got acquainted with the life of the nomadic people in the yurts, traditional customs and culture of the Kyrgyz people, visited workshops where artisans demonstrated their skills in making unique handmade products, as well as local cuisine.
Concert in Ethnocultural Programme
As part of the ethnocultural programme, a concert was organized with the participation of the folklore and ethnographic ensemble “Kambarkan” and the state dance ensemble “Ak Maral”.
An exhibition of collections of Kyrgyz national costumes Atalar Izi was also arranged. Elements of traditional hunting salbuurun with the participation of eagle hunters berkutchi, archers and taiganchi hunters were presented.
