Turkmenistan, Belgium Ambassadors Call on Pakistan’s NA Speaker, Discuss Ties

ISLAMABAD: Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Belgium on Wednesday called on the Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, in Islamabad.

During the meeting with Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atadjan Nurlyevich Movlamov, the speaker expressed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing parliament-to-parliament cooperation with Turkmenistan, along with expanding collaboration in energy, trade, and connectivity.

He emphasized the significance of regular high-level exchanges between the two parliaments and activating the Pakistan-Turkmenistan parliamentary friendship group in the National Assembly.

The ambassador congratulated Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on his reelection and expressed optimism about stronger ties under his leadership.

The envoy also assured cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including the TAPI gas pipeline project.

Speaker’s Meeting with Belgian Ambassador

In a separate meeting with Belgian Ambassador Charles Delogne, the speaker acknowledged Pakistan’s longstanding ties with Belgium, both bilaterally and within the EU context.

He commended Belgium’s support of flood rehabilitation initiatives and emphasized the importance of regular parliamentary exchanges and cooperation through friendship groups to strengthen ties.

Ambassador Delogne underlined the strong relations between Pakistan and Belgium and committed to continuing a mutually beneficial partnership between the two nations.
