PESHAWAR: The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Faisal Karim Kundi has said he would rather work for the betterment of the people of the province than indulge in any political battle, local media reported on Saturday.
In a statement, the governor said that all-out efforts would be made to improve the condition of the people and the province. He added that everyone would be taken on board for the purpose of the development of the province.
Faisal Kundi said that he himself went to all the political leadership in the province to ask them to work collectively for the betterment of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He stated that the doors of Governor House would always be opened to the masses, as serving the people was their main motive.
Responding to a question regarding Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s remarks regarding the possibility of Governor Rule in KP, he stated that his political rivals were worried regarding their own incompetence, which is why they were spreading rumors regarding Governor Rule. He asked the Chief Minister to serve the people and work for their welfare and progress.
