COLOMBO: The fastest and shortest cricket format, T10 has arrived in Sri Lanka, as the event will be names Lanka T10 League and start under the banner of Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SCB).
Sri Lanka Cricket’s Honorary President Mr Shammi Silva and Honorary Secretary Mohan de Silva ]have officially announced to stage the T10 cricket. Chairman of T 10 Global Sports Shaji-Ul-Mulk and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) T-10 Global Sports Rajeev Khanna were also present.
Shammi Silva said: “The introduction of the fastest cricketing in Sri Lanka is absolutely a great addition to the cricketing calendar and we are delighted to be a part of the forward voyage of the great game, which continues to thrive to be on par with the changing dynamics in the global sporting scene. I wish to commend T-10 Global Sports for its role in this latest initiative,”
Mohan de Silva said:
“We are extremely happy to announce the launching of the Lanka T10 League, which was the shortest format of the game. I am confident that the competition will provide entertainment to the cricket fans and quality competition for the players, and equally valuable exposure for the stakeholders,”.
Shaja-Ul-Mulk said tha they awere delighted to launch the world’s fastest format of cricket sports. He said the Lanka T10 League in Sri Lanka, which was a landmark step being the first full member board to launch the format. SLC has always supported T-ten since its inception in 2017 and they look forward to building further on this partnership,”.
