Karachi Elections 2024: Zardari, Bilawal Cast Their Votes at Naudero

KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), cast his vote in Naudero on Thursday and asked citizens to participate in the polls in Pakistan. Bilawal Bhutto emphasized the significance of exercising voting rights and criticized the suspension of mobile services in some areas of the country.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that the mandate of the masses should be respected and that every vote counts. He expressed confidence in the support of the people for the People’s Party and anticipated success in the polls.

As per media reports, former President Asif Ali Zardari also exercised his democratic rights in the general elections in Pakistan. According to PPP social media, Asif Ali Zardari cast his vote in Nawabshah.

Earlier, local media reported that the Polling process for general elections 2024 started on Thursday across Sindh, including Karachi. Voting commenced at 8 am and will continue uninterrupted until 5 pm. 26.994 million registered voters including 14.4612 million male and 12.382 million female voters are taking part in the elections. A total of 19,006 polling stations, equipped with 65,005 polling booths, have been established across Sindh to facilitate voters. In Karachi alone, with over 9.2 million registered voters, constituents will elect candidates for 22 general seats of the national assembly and 47 general seats of the provincial assembly.

The distribution of voters in Karachi’s districts is as follows: Central District (2,144,926), District East (1,687,810), District Korangi (1,512,026), District South (1,270,564), District West (954,828), District Keamari (891,214), and District Malir (824,873).
