PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan on Friday visited Bajaur district and met with the families of police personnel who sacrificed their lives and offered prayers for the departed souls’ elevated ranks.
During the visit, he assured the families of comprehensive support and boosted their spirits, affirming that all facilities outlined in the martyr’s package would be promptly extended to the beneficiaries.
“Our nation’s heroes, who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the country, will be remembered with honor,” he stated. The IGP underscored the commitment to ensuring the well-being of the martyrs’ children, emphasizing the significance of providing special care to them.
At Police Lines Bajaur, he engaged with tribal elders and police officers, highlighting the imperative of collaborative efforts to address prevailing challenges. The IGP acknowledged the substantial sacrifices made by district police and tribal elders in the war against terrorism, emphasizing the ongoing need for concerted efforts to establish enduring peace.
Assuring swift justice, the IGP announced that those involved in the incident have been identified and will soon face legal consequences.
“We are dedicated to enhancing the welfare and advancement of police personnel across all districts. Significant improvements, including the provision of new tools and protective equipment, have been implemented, and further measures are underway to ensure a brighter future for our police force,” he added.
