ISLAMABAD: After an increase of Rs 1000 on Saturday, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold resumed its downward trend and went down by Rs.1,900 on Monday to settle at Rs.216,100 compared to Rs.218,000 on the last trading day.
Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow metal also witnessed a decline by Rs.1,629 to close at Rs.185,271 from its previous day’s sale of Rs.186,900 while the rates for the 10 grams of 22 karats of gold decreased to Rs.169,832 from its previous day price of Rs.171,325.
Like the previous day, the price per tola and ten grams of white gold (Silver) experienced no change and remained constant at Rs.2,660 and 2,280.52, respectively.
Gold Price in International Market
Unlike the previous session, the price of the yellow metal in the international market went down by $18 to settle at $2,047 per ounce against the last-day price of $.2,065 per ounce. The previous day, the price per ounce of gold went up by $7.
The price of gold in the domestic market is mostly influenced by the price in the international market. The last couple of days (except last Saturday) witnessed a significant decrease in the price of the yellow plate in the international market, affecting the local gold market. However, on Saturday, its price went up to affect the domestic bullion market, followed by a decline on Monday.
