Gold Price Down by Rs300 Per Tola in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: After a significant decline of Rs 900 last Saturday, the per tola rates for the gold witnessed another decrease of Rs 300 on Monday to settle at Rs219,700 per tola against its previous day price of Rs 2,20,000.

Meanwhile, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the rates for the 24 karats of 10 grams of the precious metal also went down by Rs 258 and was available in the market at Rs188,357. 

However, like the last couple of days, the rates for the per white gold (silver) experienced no change and remained constant at Rs2,680.

Gold Price in International Market

Unlike the local gold market, the rates of the yellow metal in the international market remained unchanged to close at $2,082 per ounce, the association reported.

The price of the precious metal in the local market is mostly affected by the international rates. The last couple of days witnessed a significant in the price of gold in the international market, affecting the local gold market. However, on Monday, despite no increase or decrease in the international market, the price in the local market went down due to some positive indicators from the stock and currency markets.
