Rupee Continues Its Upward Flight Against the Dollar

KARACHI: The devaluation of the US Dollar against the Pakistani Rupee persisted, with a further 16 paisa decline observed in the interbank market on Tuesday morning.

The trading day commenced with the Dollar valued at Rs283.5, marking a continuation of its diminishing trend. The preceding Monday, the US Dollar sustained its fifth consecutive drop, concluding trade at Rs283.21 in the interbank market, reflecting a reduction of five paisas against the Pakistani Rupee.

This pattern signifies an ongoing trend of the devaluation of the US dollar relative to the Pakistani Rupee. Over the past week, the local currency saw an appreciation of 61 paisas, settling at Rs283.26 against the US Dollar in the interbank market.
