SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the relentless human rights violations perpetrated by India in the Indian illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The Conference expressed deep concern over the severe brutalities faced by the Kashmiri people, who are demanding their internationally-recognized right to self-determination.
Highlighting the grim situation, the APHC spokesperson emphasized that the one million Indian troops stationed in IIOJK have been inflicting grave human rights abuses for over seven decades, with impunity. The life of the besieged Kashmiris, according to the spokesperson, has become a living hell under the ongoing brutalities.
The spokesperson underscored that the atrocities on innocent Kashmiris have escalated significantly since the repeal of IIOJK’s special status by the Modi government on August 05, 2019. Kashmir is deemed both a political and humanitarian dispute, and the APHC appeals to those who uphold human dignity to support the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for the right to self-determination.
Expressing concern over the critical situation faced by the oppressed Kashmiris, the APHC deplored the world’s criminal silence, asserting that it adds insult to injury. The spokesperson stressed that people worldwide with a conscience should raise their voice against the injustice prevailing in Kashmir.
In an urgent appeal to the international community, the APHC called for holding India accountable for its brutal actions in the occupied territory. The conference emphasized the responsibility of the global community to address the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK and work towards ensuring justice for the oppressed Kashmiri population.
