ISLAMABAD: A non-bailable arrest warrant for Marriyum Aurangzeb, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was issued by the local anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday.

Judge Abhar Gul Khan of the anti-terrorism court heard the case involving Marriyum Aurangzeb and others. Maryam Aurangzeb’s inability to attend court was the reason for issuing a non-bailable arrest warrant.

However, the other co-accused attended court sessions and met their mandatory appearances. The court has given time to the lawyers representing the accused to consult and prepare their arguments.

This legal proceeding originates from a case filed in 2022 at the Green Town police station against Marriyum Aurangzeb and the other individuals accused.
