RAMALLAH: Israeli forces on Sunday killed three innocent Palestinian civilians in separate incidents in the West Bank, intensifying the ongoing violence that has plagued the occupied territory since October 7.
The Palestinian health ministry confirmed the deaths, stating that two young men, aged 22 and 20, were martyred in an attack by Israeli occupation forces in Abu Dis, a suburb of annexed east Jerusalem, separated by the Israeli wall encircling the West Bank. One of the victims was fatally hit in the chest by an Israeli bullet, while six others sustained injuries, three of them in critical condition, according to the ministry’s statement.

Further south, a 22-year-old Palestinian lost his life after being struck by Israeli occupation bullets in Nuba, northwest of Hebron, the ministry reported. The Israeli army, in response, stated that they were “looking into the reports” regarding the incidents in Abu Dis and Nuba.
In a separate incident, a 17-year-old Palestinian succumbed to his wounds days after being hit by Israeli occupation bullets in Al-Eizariya, located on the outskirts of Jerusalem, the ministry added.
Since October 7, the escalating violence has led to the tragic loss of more than 150 innocent Palestinian lives due to Israeli forces and settler attacks in the West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said. Alongside the casualties, Israeli forces have arrested over 1,000 Palestinians in the West Bank during this period, further exacerbating tensions in the region.
