ICC World Cup: PCB Board Announces One Million Rupees Cash Reward for Fakhar

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced Rs1million reward for batsman Fakhar Zaman for his match-winning performance in the World Cup 2023 clash against New Zealand. The announcement was made by PCB chairman, Zaka Ashraf after Pakistan’s victory against New Zealand.

Fakhar Zaman scored an unbeaten century to guide Pakistan to a 21-run victory under the Duckworth Lewis (DLS) Method. He struck 126 off 81 balls with eight fours and eleven maximums to his name. He became the only fourth player to hit 10 or more sixes in a World Cup innings.

Zaka Ashraf has appreciated Fakhar Zaman’s outstanding innings of 126 not out in Pakistan’s win over New Zealand in the World Cup clash in Bengaluru. According to PCB press release, “In a telephone talk with Fakhar, PCB head praised his excellent performance.

Moreover, Zaka Ashraf extended his best wishes to Fakhar and the team Pakistan for their upcoming matches and expressed optimism regarding witnessing similar performances and success in the future.
