RIYADH: Saudi Arabian athletes Hani Al-Nakhli and Abdulrahman Al-Qurashi clinched the silver and bronze medals at the 2023 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China.
Saudi Arabia’s medal count at the Asian Para Games now stands at nine, with two gold, four silver, and three bronze. Al-Nakhli secured second place in the F33 discus category with a throw of 10.53 meters.
Meanwhile, wheelchair racer Al-Qurashi took third place in the men’s 400m T53 event, completing the race in 51 seconds. The Asian Para Games 2023 will conclude on Saturday, featuring over 4,000 athletes from 44 Asian nations.
The closing ceremony will be attended by Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi Alsaud, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and leader of the Saudi delegation for the games.
The ceremony will be held at the Big Lotus Stadium, which also hosted the opening ceremony.
