ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah has said that educationists and academicians play a vital role in promoting culture, heritage, peace, and stability in any nation. The Minister said this while talking to a group of senior educators here at the Culture Division on Monday.
The delegation of Former VC Gomal University, Prof. Dr. Mansoor Ahmed Kundi, renowned Film & Drama Director Sajjad Ahmed, Sarfaraz Ali Korejo, Executive Director, Students Advancement Fund Endowment (SAFE), Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur & Founder, The Pak-US Alumni Network (PUAN (Sukkur Chapter).
Members of the delegation extended their best wishes to the federal Minister and hoped Jamal Shah would leave no stone unturned to properly utilize his skills for the promotion of art and culture in the country.
The participants also discussed mutual areas of interest and issues related to the promotion and preservation of the art and cultural heritage of the country.
Moreover, academic & institutional linkages with peripheral universities of Pakistan, including Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, were discussed in detail to empower and engage the dynamic youth of the country in creative activities.
Jamal Shah Calls for Promoting Peace and Stability
Meanwhile, the Minister said that the promotion of national heritage and culture among the people can only prevent the society from social ills, hatred, and intolerance and bring peace and stability to the country.
Later, Sarfaraz Ali Korejo, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, presented a traditional gift of hand-made Khais (Lungi) to the Minister.
