SRINAGAR: A devastating tragedy unfolded in the region of Indian Illegally-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as a critically injured 10th-grade student, Sahil Bashir, lost his battle for life in a hospital located in Srinagar.
According to reports from Kashmir Media Service, Sahil Bashir had been the victim of a violent attack when unknown gunmen opened fire, causing serious injuries. The incident took place in the Wanihama area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district on a fateful Wednesday.
The gravity of his injuries was apparent as he had sustained gunshot wounds to his neck, resulting in severe damage to his spinal cord. Despite the best efforts of the medical team at the Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar, who provided specialized treatment and care, the young student could not overcome his critical condition.
The heart-wrenching news of Sahil Bashir’s passing has left the community in mourning, and his body is now being prepared for burial in his hometown of Wanihama.
