One Dead, Four Injured in Incident at Iran’s Bandar Abbas Refinery

TEHRAN: An incident at Iran’s Bandar Abbas refinery resulted in one fatality and left four others injured, according to reports from Iranian state media on Monday. The incident occurred late on September 22 during emergency repair operations.

Iran’s Oil Ministry’s Shana news agency provided details, noting that the five individuals affected were maintenance workers involved in the emergency repair efforts. Unfortunately, one of the injured workers succumbed to their injuries and passed away on Monday.

An official from the Bandar Abbas refinery confirmed the situation, stating, “During the emergency repair operation in one of the process units of this refinery, five people were injured, and one of the injured died on Monday.”

Despite the unfortunate incident, the refinery’s production remained unaffected. Bandar Abbas refinery is one of Iran’s largest facilities for oil processing.
