BEIJING: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque, underscored the profound impact of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), on Pakistan’s socioeconomic landscape.
He highlighted the tangible benefits that CPEC has delivered to the Pakistani people.
Ambassador Haque emphasized that the BRI, guided by principles such as peaceful coexistence, good neighborliness, and win-win cooperation, has successfully fostered collaboration among nations. It has transcended differences and promoted shared prosperity among participating countries.
During his visit to the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which serves as China’s top political advisory body, Ambassador Haque engaged with local media.
He also participated in a thematic forum attended by ambassadors and diplomats from 18 countries, including Laos, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The forum provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on the role of consultation in deepening cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The ambassadors present at the forum commended the progress made since China introduced the Belt and Road Initiative a decade ago. They recognized its substantial achievements and its role in enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the participating nations.
