MIRPUR: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, on Thursday emphasized the importance of an early resolution to the Kashmir dispute, asserting that lasting peace in the South Asian region is intrinsically linked to the settlement of this longstanding issue.
During a meeting with the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International, held at Jammu Kashmir House in the federal metropolis, Prime Minister underscored the significance of addressing the Kashmir dispute promptly, read a press release.
Prime Minister Haq commended the role played by the Kashmiri diaspora in raising awareness about the Kashmir issue. He noted that the liberation of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the realization of the “Takmeel e Pakistan” vision were the primary objectives of the Kashmiri people. He acknowledged the unprecedented sacrifices made by Kashmiris in pursuit of these goals.
Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq expressed the unwavering determination of the Kashmiri people to carry forward the mission of the renowned liberation leader, Syed Ali Gilani, to its logical conclusion. He highlighted Gilani’s slogan, “We are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours,” which has become the collective voice and political motto of the entire Kashmiri nation.
Prime Minister Haq praised the diplomatic efforts of the diaspora community and stressed the need for Kashmiris and Pakistanis living abroad to collaborate and work together for the Kashmir cause. He emphasized the urgency of bringing human rights violations committed by Indian forces in IIOJK to international attention.
Furthermore, he urged people to utilize digital and social media platforms to raise awareness about human rights violations in IIOJK, emphasizing that Pakistan’s freedom remains incomplete without the freedom of Kashmir.
The Prime Minister also commended Raja Najabat Hussain for his efforts in highlighting the Kashmir issue.
