KABUL: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Afghanistan’s Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Aide, has called for the reinforcement of friendly relations with neighboring countries.
During a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan, Hassan Kazimi Qomi, Baradar underscored the importance of maintaining strong and amicable ties with Afghanistan’s neighbors.
Both sides engaged in discussions concerning the development of economic and political relationships. Baradar emphasized Afghanistan’s commitment to not interfering in the internal affairs of other nations and expected the same in return. “Afghanistan never interferes in the internal affairs of other nations and will not allow other countries to meddle in Afghanistan’s internal affairs; after decades of conflict, a united and independent system has been established in Afghanistan, and economic and political relationship with regional countries had been expanded,” he said.

Mullah Baradar highlighted Afghanistan’s progress in establishing a united and independent system after decades of conflict and the expansion of political and economic relationships with regional countries.
The Iranian ambassador acknowledged Iran’s historical role as a good neighbor to Afghanistan and expressed a mutual desire to enhance economic and political cooperation. He conveyed Iran’s readiness to collaborate with Afghanistan in economic, agricultural, and industrial sectors, including cooperation in railway connectivity.
Qomi mentioned that technical teams from both countries were already involved in cooperative efforts.
