MEXICO: Police said on Sunday that eight people were killed and five wounded in a shooting at a busy nightclub in Jerez, in northern Mexico.
A report said that the incident took place in Zacatecas state when armed men began shooting indiscriminately in a night club.

Six persons were killed on the spot while two succumbed while receiving medical treatment. Reports said that injured people were shifted to the hospitals.

Local media said that victims included musicians, club employees, and customers.
The club “El Venadito,” is located in the center of Jerez, about 60 kilometers southwest of the state capital city of Zacatecas.
